The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance place established for intervention activities read more a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and boost usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
